動詞の過去形 (Regular Verbs)
Past Tense of Verbs (Regular Verbs)
- 基本パターン：動詞 + ed
- いつ使うか：過去にしたことを話すときに使います。終わったことを説明します。
- 例文:
- I watched TV yesterday.
- I didn’t watch TV this morning.
- did not = didn’t
動詞の過去形 (Irregular Verbs)
Past Tense of Verbs (Irregular Verbs)
- 基本パターン：動詞によって形が変わります。
- いつ使うか：過去にしたことを話すときに使います。終わったことを説明します。
- 例文:
- I went to a temple on New Year’s Eve.
- I didn’t go to school yesterday.
過去の疑問文 (Did)
Past Tense Questions (Did)
- 基本パターン：Did + 主語 + 動詞の原形…?
- いつ使うか：過去にしたことについて質問するときに使います。
- 例文:
- Did you eat any traditional food?
- Did she eat osechi?
- Yes/Noで答えるときは、did/didn’tを使います。
- Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.
be動詞の過去形 (was/were)
Past Tense of “be” verbs (was/were)
- 基本パターン：主語 + was/were
- いつ使うか：過去の状態や気持ちを説明するときに使います。過去にどこにいたかを言うときにも使います。
- I, he, she, it のときは was
- You, we, they のときは were
- 例文:
- It was delicious.
- The traditional buildings were beautiful.
- I was not tired this morning.
- They were not at home.
